China is Terrible

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

I woke up today to find that I was spammed by chinese spammers again. So if you’re in china and reading this, In Tiananmen Square the government killed THOUSANDS of students for wanting freedom. If I were you in china I would VIOLENTLY OVERTHROW the government and install a peace and freedom loving group.

Silence

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

“For most Americans, silence is hard to find these days. Traffic, airplane noise and public transport fill most major cities.” http://www.salon.com/books/feature/2010/04/04/pursuit_of_silence_interview/index.html Humans are social creatures, but silence is something that you realize you need when you get a few minutes of it.

SuperBowl 44

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

The New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl in 2010, because I always forget my mid year.

Not so cloudy day

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

When a site like twitter goes down, backup plans aren’t available. Being out of the loop in the IT world means you become a dinosaur that much quicker. And when it’s used as an only means of communication for real data, it’s validity comes into question.

The Simpsons

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the original air date of “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” http://www.simpsoncrazy.com/news/updated-cast-poster-for-season-20-dvd It’s hard to believe that The Simpsons has been on for 20 years. Basically the person I am today has been shaped partially because of The Simpsons for better or worse. And I of course disagree with [...]

Skepticism

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Skepticism is a very healthy way of approaching things, but it gets taken over for stupid things and gets confused with cynicism. People are skeptical of vaccinations which are tested and proven world wide, but will take it on faith that a saint is on a piece of toast. Skeptic is a latin based word [...]

Bad mood

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

“people in a bad mood were more critical of, and paid more attention” http://www.telegraph.co.uk…/Bad-moods-boost-memory-and-judgement.html I knew it! My moodiness pays off for something! Now if you don’t mind, I’ll be brooding on a number of topics and noticing everything in my surroundings.

Better

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Things are constantly getting better, it’s the level of cynicism that’s getting bigger. More people get food, have access to higher education, can voice their opinion, than ever before. I guess it’s just something in human nature that forces them to only look at the darker side of everything. This is dangerously getting close to [...]

Ethics

Monday, October 5th, 2009

“Independent bloggers who fail to disclose paid reviews or freebies can face up to $11,000 in fines from the Federal Trade Commission” http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-10367464-93.html I’ve reviewed stuff from CDs to computer equipment all out of my own pocket. How do I get in on this payola system? I swear I’ll keep it under the table.
